Brake, transmission, exhaust and glass work is often done by specialty shops that see the same job dozens of times a week. Brake shops replace pads and rotors the same day and usually inspect for free; transmission shops rebuild or replace automatics and clutches, a multi-day job that deserves a second quote; muffler and exhaust shops weld custom pipes and replace catalytic converters, which in many states must meet emissions rules. Alignment and suspension shops fix pulling, uneven tire wear and worn shocks, and radiator shops handle overheating and cooling-system leaks. Auto glass shops replace windshields, often at your home or office, and recalibrate the driver-assistance cameras mounted behind the glass. Window tinting and car audio shops round out the group.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 10:30 am–7 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Oakland is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Oakland is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I've been coming to this shop for years now.... Recently- I tried to install my own system and created havoc by accidentally creating a shortage. Not a good experience 😕 However- Joe helped get my system back in play - *Word of advice - Bring over your Vehicle before trying to install your own system - (Specially if it's your first time) - Tell Joe how you want your vehicle to sound and he will make it happen. - This shop is known for *Slapping- Competition * 🏆 's To show for it! Mom 👩 and Pop ❣️ Shop - Supper friendly and honest atmosphere. *JR - Works in the shop as well / He also gets supper down with the SOUND!

Absolute worst experience at this place. I can't express how awful this business is. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and go somewhere else. The owner installed my speakers and took my money as fast as possible. I immediately noticed that the new speakers he installed sounded worse than my original speakers, not only that but now there's a terrible static/rattling sound whenever I listen to bass music. And! he lost some parts to my interior door frame after he reinstalled them so now they're loose in some spots. I reached out to them to follow up on these issues and they ignored my phone calls until I came back in person and they told me there's nothing they can do about it & just stared at me until I left. Bottom line, the worst businesses are those who are quick to take your money and quicker to ignore you/brush you off if there are any issues. That's what you're going to find if you go to this place. Good luck!

Absolutely recommend this shop to anyone looking for anyting related to car audio. From swapping out factory speakers to building competition caliber enclosures this is the place. Not only is the shop the only destination for real car audio equipment but the family-owned feel is comfortable and welcoming. On any given day you can visit the shop 2 browse around, shop or schedule service with any member of the family who all are knowledgeable friendly and genuine. I've had the pleasure of doing business with the shop multiple times and have always been not only satisfied but surprisingly pleased each time. If you visit make sure to ask to hear the demo truck, it is absolutely the most fascinating sound and air manipulation on the planet.
